You can cook this as a vegetable side dish by gently frying a sliced garlic clove in oil, adding first the chopped Chard stems and a few minutes later the chopped Chard leaves. If you like, you can add very finely chopped peppers, chili flakes or pine nuts. Simmer for a few minutes as is until the Chard is soft and then add in a little more oil and some lemon juice before serving. If you prefer it softer you can add stock with the chard after then garlic has cooked for few minutes.
